DAC Aviation has been a provider of humanitarian air charter services for two decades, operating in conflict areas including Sudan, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Somalia, Zambia, Angola, Ethiopia and Afghanistan among other areas throughout the African continent.

Today DAC operates a growing fleet of aircraft comprised of de Havilland DHC-5 Buffalos, Dash 8 series 100, 200 300, Q400, Bombardier CL-600-2B19 (CRJ 200LR), Cessna Grand Caravans (EX model), and the Citation CJ4.

DAC Aviation has always tailored all of its operations to meet the demands of humanitarian and peacekeeping missions and to ensure that the highest level of safety is consistently upheld. Having worked with numerous international organizations expecting the highest level of quality from its flight operator, DAC has placed much emphasis on providing a value added service that is both safe and reliable. Our over 400 staff members make up a team of highly qualified professionals trained to work in the most challenging environments worldwide.

Our Fleet

Our Canadair regional jets (CRJ) offer a range in excess of 2050 nautical miles, a maximum cruise speed capability of Mach 0.81 (464 kts / 534 mph / 860 kph), and cruise altitudes up to 41,000 feet. The two General Electric CF34-3B1 turbofan engines deliver a performance envelope comparable to that of a mainline jet. The aircraft includes an on board water system, multiple galley (8 US gallons), hot ovens for meal preparation and a coffee brewer. These features allow us to deliver a jet style meal and beverage service to passengers on board every flight. The environmental control system uses 100% fresh air with no cabin air recirculation allowing for added passenger comfort. The CRJ200 LR is also equipped with a Centralized Maintenance and Diagnostic Computer (MDC) designed for airline use. The 50 flight memory capacity tracks engine exceedance and trends, engine and APU life cycle data, avionics status, fault history and diagnostics. The recoded data is downloaded for review by the DAC maintenance team and allows for quick trouble shooting and maintenance planning. By maximizing the use of these monitoring features DAC is able to oversee the performance of the aircraft at all times and, through a robust maintenance program, to offer customers dispatch reliability and a reduction in operating costs.

Capt. Emmanuel Anassis, Chairman

"No other aircraft in our fleet has as much passenger appeal as our Canadair regional jet. Our jet program offers customers a smooth, quiet and comfortable ride with all the amenities and service expected with those of high end international airlines. This aircraft is a true time machine, allowing customers to reach their destinations quickly, safely and efficiently. I have noticed that during my time on this aircraft that very few people have boarded and disembarked without a smile on their face."

DAC aviation took the humanitarian aviation market by storm when it first introduced the Dash 8 100 series aircraft in 2002. It has since enjoyed a stellar performance with unprecedented dispatch reliability, in excess of 99%, to some of the most remote locations in Africa. With its ability to land on extremely short, rough unprepared airstrips with true airliner safety, makes it one of the most sought after aircraft in the industry. It's movable bulkhead permits passengers and cargo to be carried simultaneously. Not only can it carry up to 37 passengers with baggage, in its 21 passenger configuration it can still carry up to 1.5 metric tons of cargo. Safety, versatility and a proven reliability or the hallmarks of this excellent aircraft.Specifications
